SolarPower Europe launches new digital Solar Best Practices Platform
The European solar association SolarPower Europe launches industry-leading digital Solar Best Practices Platform to advance the long-term quality of Europe’s solar projects and award quality badges to solar project developers.
The new platform, which announced the second day of SolarPower Europe’s annual event Solar Quality Summit Europe co-organised with Intersolar, is intended to support members of the O&M, Asset Management, and EPC communities in applying SolarPower Europe’s sector-defining free Best Practice Guidelines for building and managing solar projects.
This digital platform brings all the products of the lifecycle quality workstream under one roof and is designed as the definitive one-stop-shop for solar quality assurance in Europe.
It makes available all of SolarPower Europe’s pioneering Best Practice Guidelines, Checklists and Mark. The new interactive reports cover Lifecycle Quality, Asset Management, Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) and Operation & Maintenance (O&M).
The Checklists function is designed to help service providers and clients to evaluate service quality transparently, and the Solar Best Practice Mark allows companies to benchmark their performance and create more transparency in their solar services.
Walburga Hemetsberger, CEO of SolarPower Europe, said:
“The energy transition cannot succeed without quality solar installations. This new platform will support the sector in delivering high quality, well-maintained, solar projects that invite public trust, investor confidence and underpin the massive growth of European solar.”
