RP Construction Services and RECON Corporation partner to build 8MWdc of solar tracker projects in Illinois
Monterey, California, June 30, 2020 — RP Construction Services, Inc. (RPCS) and RECON Corporation announced earlier this week their partnership to build 8MWdc of solar tracker projects in Illinois this year.
RECON Corporation, a solar photovoltaic EPC contractor based in Michigan, will be building three ground mount solar tracker projects, utilizing the DuraTrack HZ v3 single-axis solar tracker from leading solar tracker manufacturer Array Technologies, Inc. The trackers will be supplied by RPCS, a trusted partner of Array and turnkey design, supply, and build subcontractor.
Array trackers keep the solar PV modules following the sun on its course throughout the day, optimizing energy gains and ensuring up to a 20 to 25% increase in energy production over fixed-tilt systems and further optimizing project returns.
Scott Walker, President of RECON Corporation said:
“RECON has completed many projects with RPCS using Array DuraTrack HZ v3 single-axis solar trackers and is pleased to partner with them on these projects. RPCS and RECON work together well to design and build a quality final product that meets or exceeds the owner’s requirements and expectations.”
