Global Energy firm signs LoI to assess Solar PV Project opportunities in Somalia

Global Energy, an international project development and advisory company registered in Turkey and Bulgaria specialized in renewable energy projects worldwide, signs Letter of Intent with the Ministry of Electricity and Water, Federal Republic of Somalia for assessing the opportunity of Development and Investment of Solar PV Projects in the country.

Müren Güler, Founder and Managing Director of GLOBAL ENERGY said:

“It is an important step not only for bringing cheap and clean electricity to Somalia, where the access of electricity is a significant concern, but also to show that Somalia is a destination where the global investors should target, thanks to the growing political stability. I believe in the future of Somalia and think that Turkish Investors could play a key role with strategic global partnerships to solve the energy problem of the country and the region.”

“GLOBAL ENERGY will work together with the Federal Republic of Somalia to support the development of the country’s renewable energy industry, to develop a stronger economy and create opportunities for the citizens of Somalia.”

“We are glad to see more investors are interested in Somalia due to growing political stability and we are happy to support investors who will invest in the future of Somalia. Due to strong political and commercial support of Turkey to Somalia, I believe that Turkish Investors can initiate and lead many infrastructure projects, particularly energy projects, in order to meet today’s and tomorrow’s needs of Somalia.”
