The Development Corporation of Knox County (TDC), Restoration Services, Inc. (RSI), and Vis Solis with their numerous partners hosted an Earth Day celebration of success and plug-in ceremony at Eastbridge Business Park in northeast Knox County, Tennessee on Friday, April 21.
Restoration Services, Inc. (RSI) and Vis Solis, Inc. hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of their new 1 megawatt (MW) solar array, Plateau Park Solar, at Plateau Partnership Park industrial development complex in Rockwood, Tennessee. Also held at the event was a kickoff for the next solar project: Eastbridge Solar Advantage in Knox County. Community and elected officials from Rockwood, Crossville, and Roane, Morgan, and Cumberland Counties were in attendance.
IKEA, the world’s leading home furnishings retailer, today announced plans to install a solar energy system atop its Memphis store opening late Fall 2016. Panel installation will begin this summer, with completion expected in early Fall for what will be the largest rooftop solar array in the State of Tennessee. The 271,000 square-foot future IKEA Memphis, including approximately 800 parking spaces, will be built on 35 acres in the Wolfchase Corridor along the southwestern side of Interstate-40 near the Germantown Parkway exit.
