Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), a leading global developer of renewable utility-scale projects headquartered in Spain and part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy, announced that it has reached financial close for the 50 MW dc La Solanilla Solar Farm in Trujillo, in the Spanish province of Cáceres.
Renewable energy multinational corporation OPDEnergy, headquartered in Spain, announced on November 15 that it will build various photovoltaic solar projects located in Spain, Chile and Mexico next year totalling 500 MW. The investment required for these projects will be of approximately 500 million Euros, financed through the Project Finance Scheme with various financial institutions.
Solarcentury, a British solar power company, has received the go ahead from the Spanish regional government in Andalucia to construct four solar parks in Alcala de Guadaira, Seville, Spain. The projects are known as “Cerrado Cabrera”, “El primo Alemán”, “Hazas de los sesenta” and “Los Gonzalez” and will produce enough electricity to power 105,000 households.
Neoen, France’s leading independent producer of exclusively renewable energy is announcing that it has commenced full scale commercial operation at its Coleambally Solar Farm in New South Wales. The 100 per cent Neoen owned facility is a landmark project for the company and Australia’s renewable energy sector, producing the highest energy output of any solar farm in the country’s National Electricity Market at present.
