Sunseap Group Pte Ltd (Sunseap), Singapore’s leading renewable energy solutions provider, announced it has secured a total of SG$50 million from ABC World Asia, an Asia-focused impact investing private equity fund, and Temasek, a global investment company headquartered in Singapore. The investment will be used for solar projects in Singapore and other parts of Asia.
Sembcorp Industries, is a leading energy, marine and urban development group headquartered in Singapore, and global financial institution UBS announced that they have signed a long-term solar energy deal in Singapore. As part of this deal, Sembcorp will provide locally-sourced renewable power to support UBS Singapore’s operations over the next ten years.
American multinational personal care corporation, Kimberly-Clark, announced the switch-on of one of Singapore’s largest solar energy installations at its manufacturing facility in Tuas. The 7,730 photovoltaic panels mounted on its roof will generate 3.5 Gigawatt hours of clean energy, enough to power up a thousand 3-bedroom HDB flats for a year.
