IMEC and PVcase to co-develop next-generation yield-simulation software for solar parks

World-leading research and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies headquartered in Belgium, IMEC (Interuniversitair Micro-Electronica Centrum VZW), a member of EnergyVille, a collaboration between the Flemish research partners KU Leuven, VITO, IMEC and UHasselt in the field of sustainable energy and intelligent energy systems, together with PVcase, a Lithuanian software company disrupting the way solar parks are engineered globally, announced their partnership at the 36th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference (EU PVSEC), which took place on September 9 in Marseille (France), to develop a commercial software solution that allows to easily design and accurately predict the energy yield of state-of-the-art photovoltaic (PV) power plants.

Imec and Jolywood achieve a record of 23.2 percent with bifacial n-PERT solar cells

IMEC (Interuniversitair Micro-Electronica Centrum) VZW, a world-leading research and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies headquartered in Belgium and partner EnergyVille, a collaboration of the Flemish research institutes KU Leuven, VITO, imec and UHasselt in the field of sustainable energy and intelligent energy systems, announced on April 8 at SiliconPV 2019 event that its n-PERT (Passivated Emitter and Rear Totally diffused) solar cells developed with leading Chinese manufacturer of n-type bifacial solar cells and modules Jolywood, have reached a certified front-side conversion efficiency of 23.2 percent.
