Ciel & Terre starts construction on California’s largest floating solar system for the town of Windsor

France-based floating solar specialist, Ciel & Terre International, announced that its unit in the US and the Town of Windsor officials have started construction of what will be the largest floating solar power system in the state of California. The floating solar array will be installed on the Town’s largest recycled water storage pond and is expected to meet 90 percent of the Town’s water treatment and pump facilities’ energy needs.

Masdar and Indonesian firm PT PJB partner to develop world’s largest floating solar PV power plant

Indonesian power company PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PT PJB), a subsidiary of the state electricity company Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), and Masdar, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, signed on November 28 2017 a project development agreement (PDA) for the world’s largest floating solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant.
