Shunfeng International Clean Energy to build 10 GW TOPCon high-efficiency cell production facility in China
Chinese photovoltaic manufacturer Wuxi Suntech Power Limited (Suntech) announced that its parent company, Hong Kong-based renewable energy solutions provider Shunfeng International Clean Energy Limited (SFCE), has signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipal Government and Suma Park of Suzhou City to build a 10 GW TOPCon high-efficiency cell production facility, as well as photovoltaic, wind power and energy storage projects in China’s Anhui Province, with a total investment of about 10.5 billion RMB (1.52 billion USD).
With the launch of this project, SFCE will have a cell production capacity of 16.5 GW, a module production capacity of 25 GW and major production bases across China including Wuxi and Changzhou in Jiangsu Province as well as Chuzhou and Suzhou in the Anhui Province.
The new factory is expected to produce 210 mm large-size MBB high-power components, which are compatible with 182 mm size MBB cells, for use in the production of high-efficiency N-type TOPCon modules.
