Schneider Electric ranked No.1 inverter O&M provider globally in 2017 by GTM Research
Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation was ranked the No.1 O&M provider globally in the inverter manufacturer category according to the recent GTM Research report, “Global Solar PV O&M 2017 – 2022.” Across all categories, Schneider Electric was ranked No.6 globally and No.1 in Europe.
The research indicated that in 2017, Schneider electric operated and serviced 2.9 GW worldwide including 2 GW in Europe, becoming the first provider to surpass 2 GW of O&M in the region. It increased its dominance in France, growing 381 MW in the first three quarters of the year.

Several key factors contributed to the company’s ranking. In 2017, Schneider Electric became the No.1 utility-scale (system size above 5 MW) inverter O&M provider globally moving up in its ranking from the previous year. The company also has a strategy to support their key customers global service requirements regardless of the location.
The report also pointed out Schneider Electric’s strong footprint in key regions such as Europe, North America and APAC.
“Our global presence has allowed the local experts to perform and deliver on-going O&M contracts in countries such as France and Japan,” explained Georges-Henri.
Evan Vogel, Vice President of Marketing for Schneider Electric Solar said:
“We’ve been getting strong traction with our SmartGen inverter solutions. In the second half of 2017 alone, Schneider Electric was awarded key utility-scale projects for the SmartGen inverterswith associated Service contracts that in some cases expanded our O&M footprint.”
