Suniva Powers Largest Rooftop PV Installation in Washington D.C.

Suniva, a U.S. manufacturer of high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells and modules, announced yesterday that it is powering the solar photovoltaic (PV) system on The Millennium Building, developed and managed by The Tower Companies (“Tower”).

The Suniva PV system was designed and installed by Astrum Solar. The rooftop solar array features Suniva OPTimus panels and is the first solar PV installation on a large, commercial, class-A, office building in Washington D.C.

“The District of Columbia has a very strong solar market and we’re proud to contribute to the growing Sustainable DC Plan. We look forward to collaborating with Astrum Solar on additional projects.”said Matt Card, vice president of global sales and marketing, Suniva.
