According to latest Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA)  ‘BIPV in the MENA Region’ report,  for the upcoming Big 5 Solar Exhibition, which will run from 26-29 November 2018 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the construction sector across MENA countries can expect to see an increase in Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) components as the region strives to achieve decarbonisation targets.

DEWA announces 800MW third Phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park

A few weeks after Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced that it increased the share of renewable energy targets in Dubai’s energy mix to 7% by 2020 and 15% by 2030, and doubled the capacity of phase two of the Solar Park from 100 to 200MW, it has announced the 800MW third phase of the Solar Park.

Saudi’s ACWA Power gets $344 mln loan for Dubai solar project
