Oxford Photovoltaics Germany, a subsidiary of UK-based Oxford Photovoltaics announced last month that it received €15 million in financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support the transfer of its disruptive perovskite on silicon tandem solar cell technology from lab scale to commercialisation.
Hong Kong-based Kong Sun Holdings Limited which invests in and operates solar power plants across various provinces and regions in China, announced on December 13 that it has acquired a solar power plant project located in Baofeng County in mid-eastern China’s Henan province with a total installed capacity of 100MW for an aggregate consideration of approximately RMB743 million (USD 113 Million).
London-based renewable energy developer Lightsource and British multinational energy business BP today announced that they have agreed to form a strategic partnership, bringing Lightsource’s solar development and management expertise together with BP’s global scale, relationships and trading capabilities to drive further growth across the world.
Hamburg-based solar and wind park operator Capital Stage announced on December 4 that it has for the first time acquired two solar parks in the Netherlands. The solar parks have a total generation capacity of 47.6 megawatts (MW) and are expected to be connected to the grid in October 2018.
