China’s photovoltaic modules manufacturer Trina Solar, has received a top rating in the latest module bankability report, published by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF). After having obtained the top spot among all its industry peers in the previous 2016 report, Trina Solar has now once again been rated bankable by 100% of the banks, EPCs, consultants and industry experts participating in the BNEF survey.
A new video showcasing the Sterling Municipal Light Department’s award-winning energy storage system premiered this week at the Solar Power International/Energy Storage International conference in Las Vegas and at the Innovation Northeast’s Energy Storage & Microgrid conference in Boston. The video highlights the municipal utility’s energy storage microgrid, which is bringing both economic and resiliency benefits to the town of Sterling, Massachusetts. The groundbreaking energy storage project is the result of a collaboration among municipal, state, federal, industry, philanthropy, and nonprofit partners.
As the most international PV show in China, this August the 9th Guangzhou International Solar Photovoltaic Exhibition (PV Guangzhou 2017) once again gave a solid push to worldwide PV trade.
German car manufacturer Audi and Alta Devices, a subsidiary of the Chinese solar-cell specialist, Hanergy, are working together on this development project. With this cooperation, the partners aim to generate solar energy to increase the range of electric vehicles. The first prototype is to be built by the end of 2017.
